PHILADELPHIA, PA — A Montgomery County man has been charged in federal court with multiple offenses related to the alleged online exploitation of minors, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Authorities identified the defendant as Anthony Greene, 37, of Trooper, who was arrested and charged by indictment with multiple counts, including manufacture of child sexual abuse material, enticement and attempted enticement of a minor, receipt and possession of child sexual abuse material, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
According to the indictment, from March through June 2025, Greene allegedly used social media platforms to contact and exploit minors ranging in age from 13 to 17. Investigators allege that in some instances, Greene persuaded minors to create and send sexually explicit images or videos of themselves, while in other cases he allegedly encouraged the transmission of explicit material involving minors.
Authorities also allege Greene possessed child sexual abuse material and a firearm despite being prohibited from doing so.
Greene is scheduled to appear Friday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Scott W. Reid for arraignment in federal court, according to prosecutors.
If convicted, Greene faces a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, authorities said.
The case was investigated by the FBI Philadelphia Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force and the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office Criminal Investigative Division, according to officials.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
