PARKESBURG, PA — Police have issued a felony arrest warrant for a 23-year-old man in connection with a sexual assault investigation and are working to locate him.
Parkesburg Borough Police said the investigation began April 17 and led to charges against Richard Javier Vasquez Lopez, 23.
According to police, Vasquez Lopez has been charged with rape, aggravated assault, and related offenses.
Authorities reported that an arrest warrant was issued April 29 under docket number MJ-15307-CR-0000117-2026 by District Court 15-3-07.
Police described Vasquez Lopez as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Investigators said they are working with state and federal law enforcement partners to locate Vasquez Lopez.
Police stated the warrant remains active and urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Parkesburg Borough Police Department at 610-857-3535 or call 911.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
