Drug Raid Yields Cocaine, Cash in Wilmington Arrest

WILMINGTON, DE — A 35-year-old man is accused of drug-related offenses following an investigation and early morning search warrant execution in Wilmington, according to city police.

Wilmington Police reported that members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division, along with the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, had been investigating Hamiorr Turner in connection with alleged drug sales in the area of Vandever Avenue and Locust Street.

According to police, officers executed a search warrant around 6:00 a.m. April 9 in the 2600 block of Philadelphia Pike, where Turner was located and taken into custody without incident.

Investigators reported recovering approximately 125 grams of cocaine, approximately 3 grams of crack cocaine, and $32,975.00 in U.S. currency during the search.

Police stated that Turner is charged with multiple offenses, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities reported that Turner was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $125,200 cash-only bail.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
