HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — A 24-year-old woman has been charged after police say she allegedly failed to stop for officers during a traffic stop attempt and was later found to have an active warrant.
According to Lower Moreland Township police, officers attempted to stop a sedan on April 21, 2026, when the driver allegedly continued driving and disregarded emergency lights and sirens.
Police reported the vehicle was later located, and the driver was identified as Kayla Santos Da Silva, 24. Investigators said a check revealed Santos Da Silva had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Philadelphia.
According to police, Santos Da Silva was taken into custody at the scene.
Authorities said she has been charged with fleeing or attempting to elude an officer.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
