PHILADELPHIA, PA — A Chester County man has been federally indicted on serious child pornography charges following an investigation by the FBI. Aniruth Kuppusamy, 25, of Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania, faces multiple allegations, including the manufacture, receipt, and possession of child pornography, as well as the use of interstate communication devices to entice a minor.

The indictment, announced by United States Attorney David Metcalf, stems from disturbing allegations of online conduct involving Minor #1, a victim Kuppusamy allegedly knew to be under the age of 18. Prosecutors claim Kuppusamy engaged in violent and explicit conversations with the victim and solicited sexually explicit videos.

Further allegations state that Kuppusamy knowingly received and stored images of child pornography on an iPhone 15 transported via interstate and foreign commerce. Additionally, authorities claim Kuppusamy used the internet and cellular communication to coerce the victim into unlawful sexual activity, constituting serious federal offenses.

The charges against Kuppusamy carry significant potential penalties, including a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum of life imprisonment if convicted on all counts.

The investigation was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Danielle Bateman.

Kuppusamy has been in custody since his arrest last month and awaits further proceedings. Officials stress that an indictment is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
