WEST CHESTER, PA — Two local nonprofits are partnering to provide help with healthcare and/or financial power of attorney documents at a free legal workshop. The workshop will be by appointment Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Crime Victims’ Center, 135 W. Market St., West Chester, PA 19382. Free parking is available. The event is presented by The
Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County, Inc. and Legal Aid of Southeastern PA.

Power of attorney documents will ensure that your chosen loved one has the right to make healthcare and/or financial decisions for you in the event that you are not able to make them for yourself.

“When you are not able to speak for yourself, knowing who will speak for you when you need medical care is crucial,” said Christine Zaccarelli, Chief Executive Officer of The Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County, Inc. “We are thrilled to partner with the Chester County Division of Legal Aid of Southeastern PA to provide powers of attorney to our clients and any resident of Chester County, free of charge. We are especially hopeful that through this workshop we can provide some peace of mind to our LBGTQ and Senior population to ensure that their designated loved one can speak for them when they are not able to speak for themselves.”

CVC and LASP are partnering to offer residents of Chester County a free healthcare power of attorney and/or financial power of attorney to ensure that your chosen loved one has the right to make healthcare and/or financial decisions for you in the event that you are not able to make them for yourself.
