COATESVILLE, PA — Alcoholics Anonymous District 30 will hold a public information meeting Oct. 17 in Coatesville aimed at connecting health professionals, clergy, law enforcement, employers, and other community members with information about how the organization assists people struggling with alcohol use.
The District 30 Public Information Subcommittee will host the open meeting from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Episcopal Church of the Trinity, 323 E. Lincoln Highway. A light lunch will be served.
The session is intended in part for professionals and public service workers who encounter people with active alcohol problems, while also remaining open to family members, friends, and other community participants.
Matt H., chairperson of A.A. Public Information, is scheduled to speak along with two community speakers — one an A.A. member and the other a nonmember.
The program will address how Alcoholics Anonymous can assist people struggling with alcohol use, those seeking recovery and spiritual support, and people who need connections to community resources.
