WILMINGTON, DE — The Wilmington Police have initiated a criminal investigation into a shooting that took place on Friday around 8:19 p.m. The location of the incident was in the 2700 block of West Street.

During the incident, a 17-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound and was promptly transported to the hospital. Currently, the victim is in a stable condition. At this time, authorities are refraining from disclosing any further information about the victim.
