WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have arrested a man allegedly connected to a series of burglary incidents that stirred concern in the local community. Kynlyn Grose, 48, was taken into custody following an investigation led by Detective Joran Merced of the Criminal Investigations Division.

The string of alleged burglaries began on January 26 when police responded to a call from the unit block of West 11th Street at approximately 5:42 a.m. Four days later, on January 30, police were called to the 200 block of Girard Street around 9:51 a.m. for another reported burglary. The third incident occurred in the early hours of February 1, at approximately 2:15 a.m., on the 600 block of North Market Street.

Detective Merced obtained surveillance images of the suspect during his investigation. Later on February 1, members of the Special Operations Division spotted a man fitting the suspect’s description in the unit block of South Orange Street. Grose was identified as the individual matching the suspect’s description and was taken into custody without incident.

Grose faces several charges, including third-degree burglary, attempted third-degree burglary, two counts of criminal mischief under $1,500, criminal mischief over $1,500, theft under $1,500, and possession of burglar tools.

Following his arraignment in Justice of the Peace Court 11, Grose was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $4,200 secured bail.

It is important to remember that these are allegations, and Grose, like any defendant, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The arrest is not a declaration of guilt but rather part of the ongoing process of enforcing the law and maintaining public safety.
