UPPER PROVIDENCE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that Ridley Creek Road in Upper Providence Township, Delaware County, will remain closed on weekdays through mid-December as crews perform embankment repair work.
Through Friday, December 12, Ridley Creek Road will be closed between Rose Tree Road and Hillendale Road from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM each weekday. During the closure, motorists will be detoured along Rose Tree Road, Route 252 (Providence Road), and Kirk Lane. Local access will be maintained for residents and emergency services.
PennDOT advises drivers to allow extra travel time, as detour routes may experience congestion during peak hours. The schedule is weather dependent.
The repair project is part of the state’s ongoing infrastructure maintenance program to ensure roadway stability and safety across Delaware County.
