BRYN MAWR, PA — The Visiting Angels Foundation recently donated $100,000 to Meals on Wheels America, marking the largest single contribution in the foundation’s history and the start of a new partnership focused on supporting older adults.
The donation is intended to help expand access to meal services for seniors and support efforts to allow them to remain independent in their homes, according to the foundation.
Meals on Wheels America and its network of local providers serve nearly 2.6 million seniors annually by delivering meals and providing social connection.
Officials said the contribution will support the network’s ability to reach additional seniors in need.
“We’re proud to partner with the Visiting Angels Foundation in our shared commitment to supporting homebound older adults,” said Kristine Templin, chief development and marketing officer at Meals on Wheels America.
The Visiting Angels Foundation provides grants to organizations that deliver food, medical care, housing support and other services to seniors nationwide.
Foundation leaders said the contribution reflects its broader mission to improve access to care for older adults regardless of financial circumstances.
