BLUE BELL, PA — Unisys (NYSE: UIS) has partnered with software development analytics company Antenna to integrate independent performance benchmarks into its AI-enabled application development services, a move aimed at helping organizations measure the effectiveness and return on investment of AI-assisted software development.
The partnership combines Antenna’s development observability platform with the Unisys Intelligence Accelerator AI framework to provide customers with data-driven measurements of engineering productivity, software delivery performance and AI usage, the company announced.
The collaboration comes as more organizations adopt AI coding tools while seeking ways to quantify their business value. Unisys said the integrated platform is designed to replace subjective or self-reported performance metrics with benchmarking based on aggregated data from thousands of organizations and hundreds of thousands of software developers.
According to the company, the platform provides visibility into software development workflows during both application development and ongoing operations, enabling organizations to monitor productivity, optimize token consumption under AI pricing models, identify delivery bottlenecks and improve engineering performance over time.
“Organizations are rapidly adopting AI-assisted development tools, but many lack objective ways to measure return on investment and impact on software delivery,” said Manju Naglapur, senior vice president and general manager of Cloud, Applications & Infrastructure at Unisys. “Our partnership with Antenna helps clients bring greater transparency and evidence-based accountability to AI-driven development.”
Unisys said the benchmarks will be incorporated into its Application Development and Transformation and Application Managed Services offerings to strengthen delivery governance, improve transparency and provide customers with measurable insights into AI’s impact on software development.
“Our partnership with Unisys provides a data-driven approach to accelerate and optimize the AI transformation of software development,” Antenna founder and Chief Executive Officer Jedidiah Yueh said. “Forecasting, optimizing and aligning token usage to new feature delivery is key to unlocking the promise of AI.”
