BLUE BELL, PA — Unisys Corp. is integrating Microsoft’s generative artificial intelligence security technology into its managed cybersecurity service, expanding automation of threat detection and incident response as corporate security teams contend with growing volumes of cyber threats.
The Blue Bell-based technology company said its Managed Detection and Response service now incorporates Microsoft Security Copilot, combining the AI platform with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel.
Unisys, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker UIS, is positioning the integration as a way for clients to deploy AI within existing security operations rather than operate it as a separate system.
The service is delivered through Unisys’ global security operations center and is designed to provide centralized visibility across endpoints, identities, cloud workloads and networks.
Security Copilot’s AI agents can automate phishing triage, threat-intelligence analysis and portions of incident investigations and responses, according to Unisys. The system can also evaluate and suppress incidents deemed low risk when specified confidence thresholds are met.
That automation is intended to reduce the volume of routine alerts handled manually by security analysts while preserving an audit trail of the system’s actions.
The integration also brings Defender, Sentinel and Security Copilot into a common workflow, reducing the need for analysts to move among separate security tools during investigations.

Unisys said its approach includes adoption, governance and integration controls intended to manage how AI is introduced into clients’ security operations.
