Two Men Apprehended on Drug Charges in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have arrested two local men for drug-related activities on September 29, marking another triumph in the department’s relentless battle against illicit substances in the city.

According to the criminal complaint, at approximately 11:01 a.m., officers from the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were patrolling the area of Taylor and Kirkwood Streets when they noticed suspicious activity. Upon investigation, they apprehended Charles Williams, 66, and Kendall Briscoe, 30, without any incidents.

The subsequent search led to the discovery and confiscation of .3 grams of crack cocaine, $595 in cash, and drug paraphernalia. Both suspects were taken into custody.

Williams was charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was later arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and released on a $500 unsecured bail.

Briscoe was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and released on a $5,000 unsecured bail.

This incident follows a series of arrests made by the Wilmington Police Department as part of their ongoing efforts to curb drug-related activities in the city. The department stated it is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of its residents and will continue its efforts to eliminate drug distribution within the community.
