YARDLEY, PA — United Airlines, Marriott Hotels & Resorts and iGA İstanbul Airport were among the winners of Trazee Travel’s 12th annual reader-voted awards, reflecting the preferences of travelers ages 25 to 45 across airlines, hotels, airports, destinations and other travel categories.
United Airlines won Favorite International Airline for the third consecutive year, while its MileagePlus program captured Favorite Frequent-Flyer Program for the ninth straight year. Oneworld was named Favorite Airline Alliance for a fifth consecutive year.
Regional airline winners included Korean Air in Asia, TAP Air Portugal in Europe, Aeromexico in Mexico, Etihad Airways in the Middle East, Air Canada in North America and LATAM Airlines in South and Central America. Ethiopian Airlines was selected as Favorite Airline in Africa.
Delta Air Lines received the Favorite Airline App award for a fifth consecutive year and was selected for Favorite Premium Economy Class in the United States for the fourth straight year. Korean Air won the Asian premium-economy category, while Virgin Atlantic took the European honor.
The airport results included several repeat winners. iGA İstanbul Airport was selected as Favorite Overall Airport in the World for the fifth consecutive year and Favorite Airport in Europe for a third straight year. Singapore Changi won Favorite Airport in Asia, while Hamad International Airport took the Middle East category for the fifth consecutive year.
Chicago O’Hare International Airport won Favorite Airport in North America for a second consecutive year and Favorite Airport Dining for a seventh straight year. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport received the Favorite Airport Shopping award, while Singapore Changi took Favorite Duty-Free Shopping.
Marriott also collected multiple honors. Marriott Hotels & Resorts was selected as Favorite Hotel Chain, while marriott.com won Favorite Hotel Website for the fifth consecutive year and Marriott Bonvoy captured Favorite Hotel Rewards Program in the World for the sixth straight year.
Other hotel winners included Andaz for Favorite Lifestyle Hotel Chain, Six Senses in Asia, Waldorf Astoria in Europe, Jumeirah in the Middle East and RIU Hotels & Resorts in South and Central America. Fiesta Americana Travelty won Favorite Hotel Chain in Mexico for the 12th consecutive year.
Seoul was named Favorite Worldwide City for the fifth consecutive year, while Greece won Favorite Country for a seventh straight year. Austin, Texas, received Favorite Foodie City for the second consecutive year, and San Antonio was selected as Friendliest City.
Other consumer categories included Samsonite as Favorite Luggage Brand, Hertz as Favorite Car Rental Company and Abercrombie & Kent as Favorite Tour Operator. Virgin Voyages won Favorite Cruise Line for the fifth consecutive year.
Six winners reached what Trazee calls “Quint Status,” recognizing five consecutive victories in the same category: oneworld, Delta Air Lines’ app, iGA İstanbul Airport for Favorite Overall Airport in the World, Hamad International Airport, marriott.com and Seoul.
