PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Rittenhouse in Philadelphia has earned a One Michelin Key designation, placing the hotel among four Independent Collection Hotels & Resorts properties recognized in the latest edition of Michelin’s global hotel list.
Michelin evaluates hotels based on architecture and interior design, service quality and consistency, character, value, and their contribution to the guest experience within a particular setting. The number of keys awarded reflects the level of recognition.
The Rittenhouse was recognized alongside The Whitney Hotel in Boston, The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park in El Paso, Texas, and Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid, New York. Each received One Michelin Key.
The four hotels are part of Independent Collection Hotels & Resorts. The Rittenhouse is positioned as a luxury hotel emphasizing service and the guest experience in Philadelphia.

Michelin’s hotel recognition program uses anonymous inspections to evaluate properties and award Keys based on the overall stay rather than individual hotel amenities.
