PHILADELPHIA, PA — Tendo has announced a new partnership with Shriners Children’s, one of the world’s largest pediatric sub-specialty healthcare systems. This collaboration aims to enhance access to pediatric orthopedic surgery services through Tendo’s MDsave marketplace.
Shriners Children’s has been a beacon of hope and healing since its founding in 1922, providing care for children with orthopedic conditions, sports-related injuries, burns, spine conditions, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate. They have treated over 1.5 million children from more than 170 countries, regardless of the family’s ability to pay or insurance status.
The partnership will integrate six Shriners Children’s locations into the MDsave marketplace, making it easier for families to access high-quality pediatric orthopedic care. Tendo’s MDsave platform connects patients with healthcare providers offering transparent pricing for over 2,000 procedures across 30 specialties.
“We are very pleased to be partnering with Tendo,” said James E. “Ed” Stolze, CEO of Shriners Children’s. “Our mission and vision are to change and improve lives by providing access to high-quality medical care for more kids in more places. Tendo will help us to do just that.”
Charlie Byrge, Senior Vice President of Revenue at Tendo, highlighted the significance of this collaboration. “Expanding our scope of healthcare services is crucial to ensure that patients have access to a complete range of healthcare options, provided at transparent prices. This partnership with Shriners Children’s will give employers and consumers increased access to high-quality pediatric care, transforming the healthcare landscape for the better.”
By joining the MDsave marketplace, Shriners Children’s bolsters Tendo’s network of over 5,000 providers. This move is set to enhance the availability of specialized pediatric care, offering families and employers more options and greater convenience in accessing healthcare services.
This partnership represents a significant step forward in ensuring that children in need receive the high-quality medical attention they deserve, all while promoting transparency and accessibility in the healthcare system.
