PHILADELPHIA, PA — Tacony Street will close overnight for five nights beginning Monday, September 14, forcing drivers onto detours between Aramingo Avenue and Bridge Street during overhead bridge construction in Northeast Philadelphia.

Northbound Tacony Street drivers will be directed to use Aramingo Avenue/Harbison Avenue and turn right onto Bridge Street to return to Tacony Street.
Southbound drivers will turn right onto Bridge Street and then left onto Aramingo Avenue/Harbison Avenue to return to Tacony Street.
Motorists should plan extra time when traveling near the work zone or along the detour routes because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled work depends on weather conditions.
The closures are part of PennDOT’s I-95/BS2 project, which will reconstruct Interstate 95 in both directions between Margaret Street and Carver Street.
