Suspect Wanted for Multiple Commercial Burglaries in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The South Detective Division of the Philadelphia Police Department has recently launched an investigation into a series of Commercial Burglaries that have taken place in the 1st and 3rd Districts.

The criminal allegations are as follows:

Incident #1:
DC# 23-03-024684

On June 24, 2023, at approximately 10:05 am, 3rd District Police responded to a radio call for an “Attempted Burglary”, at the Honey Nail Salon located at 200 W Oregon Ave. Upon arrival, the store owner stated she observed damage to the side door of the business. No entry was gained. Nothing taken.

Incident #2:
DC# 23-03-024657

On June 24, 2023, at 1:53 am, the manager for Oregon Market located at 320 Oregon Ave reported a burglary to 3rd District officers. The manager stated an unknown person depicted above entered an unlocked side door of the business. While inside, the suspect entered the Hai Van restaurant by force and rummaged through an empty cash register. The suspect then forced open the double doors to the Oregon Market and shortly fled after the security alarm was activated.

Incident #3:
DC# 23-03-02464

On June 24, 2023, at 3:25 am, 3rd District officers responded to a radio call for a “Vandalism in Progress” at Johnny Chang’s, located at 2600 South Broad Street. Upon arrival, officers observed the front glass entry door broken. The store owner reported USC was taken from the cash register.

Incident #4:
DC# 23-03-024658

On June 24, 2023, at 6:45 am, 3rd District officers responded to a radio call for a “Burglary in Progress” at Sweet Treats Hut, located at 1200 South Broad Street. Upon arrival, officers observed the front sliding door was damaged and pried open. The store manager reported the register missing, USC taken, and an ATM inside the store was damaged.

Incident #5:
DC# 23-03-024857

On June 25, 2023, at 4:27 am, 3rd District officers responded to a radio call for a “Report of Burglary” at Mui Chung Restaurant, located at 1100 South Broad Street. Upon arrival, officers located the manager who stated that the outside bilco doors to the business were removed. Taken was USC from the cash register, two (2) containers of pennies, 50 packages of cigarettes, and unknown amount of Tylenol packets.

Incident #6:
DC# 23-03-024972

On June 26, 2023, at 2:22 am, 3rd District officers responded to a radio call for a “Burglary in Progress” at the Harmony Nail Salon and Spa, located at 300 Oregon Avenue. Officers observed the front door glass broken. The cash register was taken, which did not contain any money.

Incident #7:
DC# 23-01-011710

On June 26, 2023, at 3:33 am, 1st District officers responded to a radio call for a “Report of Burglary” at Main Squeeze Philly, located at 2500 South Broad Street.  The front glass to the store was broken, and the cash register containing USC was missing.

Incident #8:
DC# 23-03-024995

On June 26, 2023, at 4:18 am, 3rd District officers responded to a radio call for a “Report of Burglary”, at Pizzeria Pesto, located at 1900 South Broad St. The front glass door to the business was shattered, and the cash register containing USC was missing.

The suspect is described as a middle-aged to older African American male, sporting a full beard and concealed behind a black mask. He was seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt over a grey shirt, black Nike pants, and stylish grey and black sneakers with white soles. Additionally, he had a watch on his left wrist and was carrying a shoulder bag.
