DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Senator Tim Kearney (D-Delaware) recently announced $4.9 million in grants for projects impacting the 26th Senatorial District, focused on victims’ services, protecting seniors, and more. The grants are awarded through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) and are a mix of federal and state funding.

“It is vitally important that we support organizations that help survivors of domestic violence and child abuse, as well as programs that support our seniors and ensure their rights are protected,” said Senator Kearney. “The projects receiving this funding will help some of the most vulnerable people in our community rebuild their lives and invest in their futures, and that’s why I fought to secure this funding.”

The following groups were awarded a total of $4,957,671:

  • SeniorLAW Center received $1,531,487 in Federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funds.
  • Delaware County Victim Assistance Center received $905,255 in Federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funds.
  • Delaware County received $671,039 in Continuing Adult Probation and Parole Grant funds.
  • Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania received $563,305 in Federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funds.
  • Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County received $491,460 in Federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funds.
