WILMINGTON, DE — SCM Champs has expanded its SAP digital supply-chain services to include implementation of SAP Logistics Management, targeting businesses seeking to integrate warehouse, transportation and carrier operations without large investments in IT infrastructure.
The company is positioning SAP Logistics Management, or LGM, primarily for small- and midsized warehouses, satellite facilities and transportation operations that currently rely on separate applications or manual processes.
SAP LGM is a cloud-based software-as-a-service platform that connects warehouse and transportation management in a single system. It integrates with SAP S/4HANA Cloud and is designed to synchronize orders, inventory and shipment data while providing visibility across distribution centers and other logistics facilities.
The expansion adds LGM to SCM Champs’ existing SAP supply-chain practice, which includes experience with SAP Extended Warehouse Management. The company will provide assessment, implementation, integration and post-deployment support for customers adopting the platform.
Chief Executive Officer and founder Prabjot Singh said SCM Champs intends to evaluate LGM based on each customer’s warehouse size, transportation operations and longer-term growth requirements rather than treating it as a default solution.
“The more important question is: Which solution is better for your business, your volumes, processes, and plans for the next five years?” Singh stated.
SAP LGM combines warehouse and transportation functions with carrier collaboration, including shipment tracking and visibility of goods in transit. The platform also uses AI-assisted functions for recommendations, contextual guidance and exception-based processing.
Routine logistics tasks can be automated, allowing workers to focus on transactions or conditions requiring intervention. SCM Champs said the platform’s cloud and microservices architecture can reduce deployment time and upfront infrastructure requirements compared with more complex logistics implementations.
The system is intended for businesses operating smaller warehouses, shipping facilities and multi-tier networks in which central and satellite locations need coordinated inventory and transportation processes.
SCM Champs’ implementation services include reviews of existing warehouse, inventory and transportation operations; assessment of whether LGM or another SAP product is the better fit; deployment planning; systems integration; and post-launch support.
The company provides SAP supply-chain services in North America and Europe.
