WEST EARL TWP, PA — Drivers on northbound Route 222 should plan for delays this weekend as PennDOT closes the left lane over North Church Street for bridge repairs from Friday night through early Tuesday.

The work zone is near the Route 772 interchange serving Brownstown and Rothsville. PennDOT warns motorists to expect traffic delays while the lane remains closed.
Most work on the broader project has been completed, but additional lane and possible ramp closures on Route 222 may be needed to finish remaining items.
The bridge work is part of a 3.3-mile pavement preservation project covering northbound and southbound Route 222 in Manheim, Warwick and West Earl townships, from the Bushong Road overpass to the Pool Road overpass.
The $8.49 million project includes resurfacing, full-width milling, base repair, concrete patching, guide rail improvements, line painting and sign updates. New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company Inc., of New Enterprise, PA, is the contractor.
Drivers should plan extra time, obey work-zone signs and use caution through the area.
