WEST EARL TWP, PA — Drivers should prepare for around-the-clock lane restrictions on northbound and southbound Route 222 as crews repair bridge expansion dams near the Route 772 (Brownstown/Rothsville) interchange.

The right lane remains closed on northbound Route 222 over Church Street while crews repair an expansion dam. The left lane remains closed on the southbound bridge for similar repairs.
Crews will work around the clock until the repairs are finished. PennDOT did not provide an estimated completion date.
No detour has been announced. Drivers should plan extra time because backups and delays are expected through the work area. Seek alternate routes when practical and remain alert for workers, equipment and merging traffic.
The repairs are among the remaining items under a 3.3-mile pavement preservation project covering Route 222 in Manheim, Warwick and West Earl townships.
The broader project includes resurfacing, full-width milling, base repairs, concrete patching, guide rail improvements, line painting and sign updates between the Bushong Road and Pool Road overpasses.
New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company Inc. of New Enterprise is the contractor for the $8.49 million project.
