DOYLESTOWN, PA — Rothkoff Law Group is moving longtime elder law attorney Richard L. Newman into an Of Counsel role as he retires from direct client work after more than 20 years serving older adults, people with special needs and their families across southeastern Pennsylvania.
Newman will remain affiliated with the firm, allowing Rothkoff to retain his experience while shifting day-to-day client responsibilities to other attorneys.
His practice focused on the legal, financial and care-related issues associated with aging and disability, including helping families navigate decisions involving vulnerable older adults and individuals with special needs.
“Throughout my 20 years of practicing Elder Law, I feel that I have been very fortunate to work with older adults and those with special needs in and around the Doylestown area,” Newman said.
He added that he hopes to continue assisting older adults and families of people with disabilities after retirement, though he will no longer work directly with Rothkoff clients.
Newman also held leadership roles with the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys, including president-elect and program chair. He served on professional boards and councils focused on elder law, older adults and people with disabilities.
“Rich’s impact on the lives of these families, as well as on his colleagues, will not soon be forgotten,” said Bryan J. Adler, a shareholder and senior partner at Rothkoff Law Group.
Newman’s continued Of Counsel affiliation gives the firm ongoing access to his perspective while marking the end of his active client practice.
