PHILADELPHIA, PA — Rivers Casino Philadelphia will host an open casting call for CBS game show “The Price Is Right” next month, giving local residents a chance to compete for a spot on one of television’s longest-running and highest-rated daytime programs.

The audition event, scheduled for July 22 at the casino’s Event Center in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood, is part of a partnership between Rivers Casino Philadelphia and KYW-TV/CBS3. Producers from the show will evaluate prospective contestants and select two semifinalists for a trip to Los Angeles, where one will receive a guaranteed opportunity to appear on the program.

The event is open to legal U.S. residents ages 18 and older. Auditions will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with participants permitted to begin lining up at 10 a.m.

Contestants will meet individually with casting producers and have roughly one minute to demonstrate the enthusiasm and personality the show seeks in potential competitors. Organizers are encouraging advance registration.

The casting call highlights the continued popularity of “The Price Is Right,” hosted by Drew Carey and currently the top-rated daytime television series in the United States. The program, which debuted in 1972, remains the longest-running game show in television history.

Producers will cover travel and lodging expenses for the two semifinalists selected from the Philadelphia event. One of those semifinalists will be guaranteed a chance to compete on a future taping of the show in Los Angeles.

The casting event marks the fourth national television audition opportunity hosted by Rivers Casino Philadelphia in the past 15 months. Previous events attracted participants from across the Delaware Valley and beyond, including visitors from New York, Atlantic City, and overseas.
