RISR Deal Expands OnePoint BFG’s Business-Owner Strategy

RISR

PHILADELPHIA, PA — OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners will deploy RISR’s business-owner planning platform across its centralized planning team and advisor network, extending the firm’s effort to serve entrepreneurs and privately held companies while supporting growth across more than $16 billion in assets.

The agreement gives OnePoint BFG advisors access to tools focused on business valuation, growth opportunities, risk exposure and succession readiness.

The partnership reflects increasing competition among wealth managers to provide planning services beyond traditional portfolio management, particularly as aging business owners prepare to sell or transfer closely held companies.

More than half of U.S. employer businesses are owned by people age 55 or older, and 74% of those owners expect to sell or transfer their companies as they approach retirement, according to figures cited by the firms.

RISR’s platform is designed to help advisors assess the financial condition and estimated value of a client’s business, identify operational and planning risks, and structure conversations around succession or liquidity events.

Jason Early, founder and chief executive officer of RISR, described business owners as a complex and underserved segment of the wealth management market.

“OnePoint BFG has a reputation for delivering highly personalized advice and investing in the tools advisors need to succeed,” Early stated.

OnePoint BFG Chief Executive Officer Andy Schwartz linked the technology investment to the firm’s broader expansion strategy.

“As we continue to grow, we’re investing in technology that helps our advisors deepen client relationships and address increasingly complex planning needs,” Schwartz stated.

OnePoint BFG is pursuing growth through organic expansion and acquisitions, with business-owner planning positioned as a central part of that strategy. The firms did not disclose financial terms of the agreement.
