WILMINGTON, DE — Qnity Electronics (NYSE: Q) appointed semiconductor finance executive Ken Rizvi as chief financial officer effective Oct. 1, bringing in a veteran of several public and private technology companies to oversee finance as the semiconductor-materials company pursues its growth and capital-allocation strategy.
Rizvi will join Qnity as senior vice president and CFO, succeeding Michael Goss, who has served as interim chief financial officer. Goss will become vice president of finance and controllership when the transition takes effect.
Rizvi brings more than 25 years of financial experience spanning semiconductor design, manufacturing, memory, packaging and supply-chain businesses.
He most recently served as CFO of publicly traded semiconductor company Synaptics, where his responsibilities included global finance, corporate development, investor relations and information technology.
Before Synaptics, Rizvi was CFO of Smart Global Holdings, now known as Penguin Solutions. Qnity credited him with overseeing two major transactions and margin expansion during his tenure.
Rizvi previously held CFO positions at Singapore-based UTAC Group and Isola Group and worked in increasingly senior finance roles at Micron Technology and ON Semiconductor.
“Ken’s proven track record as a public company CFO, combined with decades of experience leading finance organizations across the semiconductor ecosystem, make him an ideal leader for our team,” Qnity Chief Executive Officer Jon Kemp said.
Kemp cited capital allocation, financial discipline and operational performance among the areas where Rizvi’s experience will be relevant to the company.
Rizvi said his semiconductor background has given him experience with the role materials play in successive generations of technology and that he plans to work with Qnity’s management on its growth strategy.
