Qlik Expands Enterprise AI Access Through Anthropic’s Claude

Qlik Technologies

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Qlik has expanded its integration with Anthropic’s Claude artificial intelligence platform, making its Model Context Protocol server available through the Claude Directory to give enterprise users access to governed business data and analytics without rebuilding existing data controls or analytical workflows.

The integration allows organizations using Qlik Cloud to connect Claude with established business metrics, data lineage and analytical logic. It also enables selected analytics tasks to be performed through natural-language instructions.

The Philadelphia-based data analytics company said the directory listing builds on the general availability of its MCP server earlier in 2026, simplifying how Claude users discover and connect Qlik’s capabilities.

The move addresses a challenge facing businesses deploying generative AI: connecting language models to corporate information while preserving data governance, access permissions and established analytical definitions.

Rather than requiring users to supply raw datasets or reconstruct calculations in individual prompts, Qlik’s MCP server exposes existing analytical context to Claude.

That includes governed data access, information about data origins and transformations, business metrics and calculations maintained within Qlik’s analytics environment.

“Customers adopting Claude want more than an LLM hooked to raw records,” said Josh Good, Qlik’s vice president of corporate strategy. “They want Claude to work with governed business context, existing metrics, and data workflows with enterprise controls.”

The integration supports several analytics functions, including searching applications, datasets and data products, asking questions about business information, and examining analytical expressions and scripts.

Users can also create dashboards, worksheets and visualizations through natural-language prompts, extending Claude beyond information retrieval into selected analytics workflows.

Qlik said the connection uses OAuth-based authentication and existing Qlik Cloud permissions, allowing organizations to maintain established access restrictions when using Claude.

Those controls are intended to limit access to authorized data and functions rather than granting the AI platform unrestricted access to corporate information.

Availability through Anthropic’s Claude Directory provides a centralized way for users to locate and connect the MCP server.

The directory is part of Anthropic’s ecosystem for integrating external services with Claude through Model Context Protocol, a standard designed to connect AI applications with external data sources and tools.

For Qlik, the integration extends its analytics platform into an AI environment that businesses may already use for research, software development and operational decision-making.

The company is pursuing a broader strategy of making its governed data products and analytics capabilities accessible through external AI tools while retaining existing enterprise systems and controls.

The integration is available through the Claude Directory for organizations seeking to connect supported Qlik capabilities with Claude.
