READING, PA — Pinky’s Junk Removal has expanded into Berks County after establishing operations in Virginia, adding an independent residential and commercial hauling business led by Reading-area entrepreneur David Wise.

Wise founded the company after building and operating six junk-removal franchise locations, which he later sold. The Berks County expansion brings the business into his home market after its initial launch in Virginia’s Hampton Roads region.

Pinky’s provides furniture and appliance removal, estate cleanouts, garage and basement cleanouts, office cleanouts and construction-debris removal.

The company serves both households and businesses, positioning its services around property cleanouts, available storage space and commercial operational needs.

Wise has nearly 20 years of experience in the junk-removal industry and grew up in Mohnton, near Reading.

“It means a lot to be able to serve people I know and care about and give them a great local option,” Wise stated.

Companies founded by Wise have appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of fast-growing private businesses. In 2012, he received the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Small Business Person of the Year award.

Wise described estate cleanouts and commercial space clearing as among the situations that drive demand for the company’s services.

“Sometimes we’re helping a family clean out a loved one’s home after they’ve passed away,” he stated. “Sometimes we’re helping a business clear out space so they can grow.”
