Philadelphia Police Hunt for Suspect in Homicide Case

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia’s Homicide Unit is actively pursuing a suspect as part of their ongoing investigation into the fatal shooting of a 44-year-old woman. The incident took place on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, around 6:18 AM, at the intersection of Front Street and Allegheny Avenue.

Authorities have released surveillance video excerpts, showing the suspect who is currently being sought. He is described as a black male appearing to be in his mid to late twenties, between 5’10” and 6′ tall, with a stocky build. He sports a beard and short-cut black hair. At the time of the crime, he was seen wearing an orange “AMIRI” brand T-Shirt with a light-colored emblem or logo on the left chest, “AMIRI” written across the upper back, light-colored denim pants, and distinctive shoes.

The City of Philadelphia is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case. If you see this suspect, do not approach. Contact 911 immediately.
