CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Novacore said it has launched an aerospace insurance segment to expand into aviation and space risk markets and has appointed two industry veterans to lead the effort.
The company said the new segment will focus on underwriting aviation and space risks, areas that require specialized expertise and risk management.
Rob Schenone has been named head of space, bringing more than 35 years of experience in aerospace insurance, most recently serving in a senior underwriting role at AXA XL.
Tom Callahan will serve as head of aviation, also with more than 35 years of experience, including leadership roles overseeing aerospace underwriting strategy at AXA XL.
“This is an opportunity to build a portfolio with a long-term view,” Callahan said.
The company said the segment will emphasize disciplined risk selection and portfolio management as it develops its aerospace offerings.
Novacore, based in Conshohocken, provides specialty insurance programs and partners with more than 20,000 agents nationwide across multiple industry sectors.
