While traffic is not currently impacted, future phases will introduce significant changes. When mainline construction begins, northbound and southbound I-95 traffic will be shifted to the southbound side and median to allow for demolition and rebuilding of the northbound lanes.

Drivers should anticipate future disruptions, including potential weekend closures of the Castor Avenue on-ramp during later construction stages.

The project will widen northbound I-95 to four lanes near the Allegheny/Castor Interchange and reconfigure access ramps to improve traffic flow. Additional upgrades include new noise walls and full reconstruction of both northbound and southbound sections of the interstate.

Motorists should stay alert for upcoming changes and plan ahead as construction advances. Expect delays once major traffic patterns are implemented.

The project is scheduled for completion in late 2031.
