PHILADELPHIA, PA — Nikon will bring its traveling photography and filmmaking program to Philadelphia from Oct. 30 through Nov. 1, giving area creators free access to hands-on camera and lens sessions as the company expands the tour to five additional U.S. markets this fall.
The Philadelphia stop is part of the second half of the 2026 Nikon Tour, which begins Sept. 25 in Dallas before traveling to Nashville, the Baltimore-Washington area, Philadelphia and Boston.
Nikon said more than 1,300 people attended the first five tour stops this year. The events combine product demonstrations with photography and videography instruction for creators ranging from beginners to experienced photographers and filmmakers.
The company has divided this year’s programming into dedicated sessions for introductory photography, NIKKOR Z lenses, and its ZR cinema camera. The format gives participants opportunities to use Nikon equipment rather than limiting the events to demonstrations.
NIKKOR Z Lens Day allows photographers to test different lenses during individual sessions, while ZR Day focuses on using the camera’s video capabilities in shooting environments. Nikon said participants at previous lens sessions tested as many as four or five lenses.
Sandisk will provide CFexpress memory cards during ZR sessions, allowing participants to capture material with Nikon cameras and have the files uploaded to the cloud for later access. Select beginner and NIKKOR Z Lens events will also include Sandisk giveaways.
“The first half of the Nikon Tour was incredibly successful in bringing our community together and providing meaningful ways for creators of all levels to connect, learn and experience Nikon gear firsthand,” said Kristen Pritchett, Nikon Inc.’s marketing events and experiential manager.
The fall tour begins Sept. 25-27 at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, followed by Nashville Oct. 2-4 and Baltimore/Washington, D.C., Oct. 23-25. Philadelphia follows Oct. 30-Nov. 1, with Boston closing the announced schedule Nov. 6-8.
Nikon Creators and Ambassadors participating in the second half include Danny Batista, Brandon Woelfel, Mike Mezeul and Rick Southers.
