- Reason: Utility construction
According to PennDOT, periodic lane closures with flagging operations will be in place on Route 452 (Market Street) between Bethel Avenue and Story Road from Monday, June 15, through Thursday, June 18.
Traffic will be directed through the work zone by flaggers as crews perform utility construction tied to the ongoing $99.4 million U.S. 322 Section 103 project. The broader initiative will reconstruct, widen, and improve safety along a 1.4-mile stretch of U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) in Upper Chichester Township.
No formal detour has been announced, but motorists should expect delays as traffic is periodically stopped and directed through active work areas. Plan extra time for overnight trips through the corridor and seek alternate routes when possible.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent and may be rescheduled if conditions are unfavorable.
Drivers are urged to remain alert for flagging operations, changing traffic patterns, and construction personnel working near the roadway.
