AUDUBON, PA — NetCarrier appointed technology sales veteran Jason Ruth as chief revenue officer, putting him in charge of the cloud communications provider’s revenue operations and partner strategy as it expands into AI-powered voice automation.
Ruth assumed the position July 13 and has responsibility for sales, customer success, marketing, revenue operations, partner programs and agent relationships. His remit also includes Technology Service Distributors and NetCarrier’s expanding wholesale and white-label operations.
The appointment places a longtime channel executive at the center of NetCarrier’s effort to grow through partners while broadening its communications and automation portfolio for small and mid-sized businesses.
Ruth most recently served as director of sales for the East at C1, leading client executives focused on AI-powered communications, infrastructure, security and services.
His more than 25 years in technology sales also include senior sales and channel positions at Fusion Connect, Vonage, 8×8, Mitel, Broadsmart, Ascom and Windstream Enterprise.
Ruth’s experience spans direct and indirect sales organizations and the development of agent, value-added reseller, managed service provider and Technology Service Distributor channels.
“His deep understanding of partner-led sales models and his ability to align teams around measurable revenue outcomes will be particularly important as we expand our communications and AI-powered automation portfolio through the channel,” NetCarrier Chief Executive Officer Doug Derstine stated.
Ruth described the company’s established cloud communications business and expansion into AI-powered voice automation as an opportunity to build a broader partner-led go-to-market strategy.

Ruth and Derstine previously worked together earlier in their careers. NetCarrier is privately held and provides cloud communications and AI-powered voice automation technology for small and mid-sized businesses.
