RADNOR, PA — Mineralys Therapeutics (Nasdaq: MLYS) will present new clinical data on its investigational hypertension treatment lorundrostat at ENDO 2026, as the company advances the drug through late-stage development for patients with uncontrolled and resistant hypertension.
The late-breaking presentation will feature a post hoc analysis of circulating proteomic data from participants enrolled in the company’s Phase 3 Launch-HTN and Phase 2 Advance-HTN trials. The analysis examines the effect of lorundrostat on biomarkers associated with heart failure risk.
The data will be presented June 14 at the Endocrine Society’s annual meeting in Chicago by Kushan Gunawardhana of Mineralys Therapeutics.
The presentation comes as Mineralys continues to build clinical evidence supporting lorundrostat, an investigational aldosterone synthase inhibitor designed to reduce aldosterone production in patients whose blood pressure remains uncontrolled despite treatment with multiple medications.
According to the company, the Launch-HTN Phase 3 study evaluated adults whose hypertension remained uncontrolled while taking two to five antihypertensive medications. The Advance-HTN Phase 2 trial assessed lorundrostat as an add-on treatment for patients with uncontrolled or resistant hypertension.
Mineralys said it has completed six late-stage clinical trials involving lorundrostat, including the pivotal Launch-HTN and Advance-HTN studies. The company reported that both trials demonstrated reductions in systolic blood pressure and supported the drug’s safety profile.
The company is also pursuing additional indications linked to dysregulated aldosterone, including chronic kidney disease and obstructive sleep apnea.
Hypertension remains a significant public health challenge in the United States. According to data cited by Mineralys, more than 685,000 U.S. deaths in 2022 listed hypertension as a primary or contributing cause, while the condition and related health issues generated an estimated annual economic burden of $219 billion in 2019.
Less than half of patients with hypertension achieve blood pressure goals using currently available therapies, according to the company, which estimates that dysregulated aldosterone contributes to approximately 30% of hypertension cases.
The ENDO 2026 presentation is scheduled for June 14 in the ENDOExpo Hall at McCormick Place West in Chicago.
