Lincoln Investment Taps Harkins to Lead Marketing Strategy

FORT WASHINGTON, PA — Lincoln Investment Planning LLC has appointed financial-services marketing veteran Tara Harkins as senior vice president of marketing, putting her in charge of the firm’s brand and adviser-focused marketing strategy as the independent broker-dealer pursues broader business growth.

Harkins will oversee brand strategy, digital marketing, practice management and other initiatives designed to help Lincoln Investment’s financial professionals develop their practices.

Her mandate also includes strengthening the firm’s market positioning, expanding practice-management and business-development resources and improving communications with financial professionals.

Harkins brings more than 20 years of financial-services marketing experience. She previously held marketing leadership positions at Harbor Capital Advisors, Lincoln Financial Network and Voya Financial, with responsibilities spanning brand and product strategy, channel marketing, demand generation, digital marketing, events and financial-professional engagement.

Lincoln Investment CEO Kathy Leckey pointed to Harkins’ understanding of both the financial-services business and the advisers the company supports as factors in the appointment.

“Her experience and perspective will help us strengthen our brand and find new ways to support our financial professionals,” Leckey stated.

Harkins will work with executives across Lincoln Investment to align marketing with the firm’s business priorities and the changing needs of its financial professionals.

Chief Business Development Officer Dan Alexander characterized marketing as a potential driver of the firm’s growth and pointed to Harkins’ experience with the financial-professional market as central to that strategy.

Lincoln Investment, which is majority family-owned, provides investment products, technology and business support to financial professionals. The firm ranked No. 13 among independent broker-dealers based on 2025 revenue in Financial Planning’s 2026 IBD Elite study.
