RADNOR, PA — Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE: LNC) announced the appointment of Jason Crane as Senior Vice President and President of its Retirement Plan Services (RPS) business.
Crane will oversee strategy and execution for Lincoln’s RPS division and report directly to Jimmy Reid, executive vice president and president of Workplace Solutions, which includes both the company’s Retirement and Group Benefits businesses. He will also join Lincoln’s Corporate Leadership Group.
Crane brings more than 25 years of retirement industry experience to the role. Most recently, he served as Head of Core Retirement at Ascensus, where he also led the company’s Retirement Distribution organization. Before joining Ascensus in 2018, he held several leadership positions at Transamerica, including Head of U.S. Business Development for the firm’s Retirement, Annuities, and Mutual Fund divisions, as well as Head of U.S. Sales for its Retirement business.
“The Retirement business is critical to Lincoln’s enterprise strategy, and we’re excited to have Jason on board to lead this key business forward,” said Jimmy Reid, EVP and president of Workplace Solutions. “Jason brings deep experience in the industry, a focus on results-driven strategy, and he is a tenured leader known for building elite teams. With Jason’s leadership, we’re looking forward to building on our momentum and positioning the Retirement business for continued long-term success.”
Crane succeeds Ralph Ferraro, who has served as president of RPS since 2022 and will retire from Lincoln at the end of September 2025. Ferraro announced his planned retirement earlier this year.
Lincoln said Crane’s appointment underscores its commitment to strengthening its position in the retirement services market while continuing to support plan sponsors, participants, and partners with innovative solutions and long-term strategies.
