LANCASTER, PA — Baseball may be taking the night off, but Penn Medicine Park will still be packed with excitement as the Lancaster Stormers prepare to host what organizers say will be their biggest Independence Day celebration yet.

On Friday, July 3, the ballpark will transform into a festival-style destination celebrating America’s 250th birthday, complete with live music, contests, family activities, food vendors, and one of the region’s premier fireworks displays.

The free community event, dubbed America 250 at Penn Medicine Park, will spread throughout both the stadium and surrounding parking areas, giving families plenty of room to explore an evening filled with patriotic entertainment.

Guests can enjoy everything from bounce houses and carnival games to a petting zoo, historical reenactments, a pig roast, and a variety of food and merchandise vendors. Inside the stadium, DJ Mike Miller will keep the energy high throughout the evening.

The celebration’s entertainment lineup includes performances by the Synergy Dance Complex, a wrestling exhibition by 3 Legacies Wrestling, and a hypnosis show. Competitive eaters can test their skills in both hot dog and pie-eating contests, while classic car enthusiasts can browse the Crazy On Clay Car Show.

The evening will culminate with a performance by the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra before a fireworks display lights up the sky over Penn Medicine Park.

“We’re going bigger than ever for America 250,” said Alexandra Bunn, vice president and assistant general manager of the Lancaster Stormers. “From the Lancaster Symphony and fireworks to family activities, contests, vendors, and live entertainment, this is our way of creating a signature summer tradition for Lancaster County and celebrating 250 years of America together.”

The annual Independence Day celebration has become a summertime tradition at Penn Medicine Park, and organizers expect thousands of residents and visitors to gather for the patriotic festivities.
