The southbound I-95 ramp to I-76 West at Front Street will close for both weekends. Drivers must exit at Broad Street/Pattison Avenue (Exit 17), then travel north on Broad Street (Route 611) to reach I-76 West or Packer Avenue.
Eastbound Tasker Street will close continuously from Monday, November 2, through Friday, November 13, for overhead bridge repairs. Drivers will be detoured along Front Street, Dickerson Street, Columbus Boulevard, Morris Street, and Water Street.
Separately, a right lane on southbound I-95 approaching the Route 291 East (Bartram Avenue/Cargo City) exit in Tinicum Township, Delaware County, will close Tuesday, November 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for mast pole delivery.
The restrictions are part of a $61.9 million federally funded project to repair deteriorating interstate bridges and ramps throughout the Philadelphia region. IEW Construction Group Inc. of Hamilton, New Jersey, is the contractor.
PennDOT warns that backups and delays will occur. Drivers should allow extra travel time and follow posted detours. All scheduled work is weather dependent.
