PennDOT will close the northbound I-95 exit ramp to Linden Avenue during daytime construction hours, requiring motorists to use a posted detour through nearby streets.
During the closure, northbound I-95 drivers will be directed to take the Academy Road/Linden Avenue exit, use the left lane toward Academy Road and turn left onto Torresdale Avenue to reach Linden Avenue.
Local access will be maintained throughout the construction period.
PennDOT warned that backups and delays will occur near the work zone and along the detour route. Drivers should plan extra time, particularly when traveling through the Academy Road and Torresdale Avenue area during the daytime restrictions.
The closures are scheduled for weekdays only, with the ramp restrictions running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each workday through Oct. 23.
All scheduled work is weather dependent, meaning the construction schedule could change if conditions prevent crews from completing the repairs as planned.
Motorists who regularly use the Linden Avenue exit should familiarize themselves with the detour before the first closure and consider alternate routes when practical.
