PHILADELPHIA, PA — Overnight lane closures are scheduled next week on Interstate 76 as PennDOT continues roadway and bridge repairs along the Schuylkill Expressway.

Lane closures will occur in both directions between the U.S. 1 (City Avenue) and I-676 interchanges during overnight work hours.
No detour is planned, but drivers should expect reduced lane capacity and significant slowdowns through the work zones. Plan extra time and consider alternate routes if traveling overnight.
The work is part of a $37.9 million project to resurface nearly five miles of I-76, repair ramps, and rehabilitate more than 20 bridges in Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township.
