WARMINSTER TWP, PA — Havis has launched two docking-station series for Panasonic TOUGHBOOK G3 tablets, giving organizations with mixed G2 and G3 fleets a way to upgrade devices without replacing compatible docking infrastructure solely because of the tablet transition.
The DS-PAN-740 and DS-PAN-750 series are designed for mobile and field operations requiring secure tablet mounting, power, data and peripheral connectivity.
Both support the newer Panasonic TOUGHBOOK G3 while maintaining compatibility with G2 tablets, allowing organizations to deploy the two generations within the same operating environment.
That cross-generation support is aimed at customers upgrading technology incrementally rather than replacing entire device fleets at once.
The primary difference between the two series is their physical footprint. The DS-PAN-740 uses a conventional docking configuration, while the DS-PAN-750 provides comparable functionality in a slimmer design intended for vehicle cabins and other space-constrained installations.
Havis is targeting the docks at public safety, utilities, transportation, field service and warehousing operations, where tablets may move between vehicles and fixed workstations during a shift.
Both series are designed for repeated docking and undocking while maintaining connections to power, data and peripheral equipment.
“Whether a customer needs a standard dock or a slimmer footprint to maximize available space, both solutions are designed to deliver the durability, connectivity, and ease of use that mobile professionals depend on every day,” Havis Product Manager Josh Parah said.
The new products expand Havis’ hardware options around Panasonic’s latest TOUGHBOOK generation while preserving deployment flexibility for customers that continue to operate G2 devices.
