CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Good Neighbor Pharmacy ranked highest in customer satisfaction among chain drug store pharmacies in J.D. Power’s 2026 U.S. Pharmacy Study, giving Cencora’s independent-pharmacy franchise its 14th top ranking in 17 years as community pharmacies contend with pressure to maintain services and strengthen their businesses.
Good Neighbor Pharmacy received the highest overall score in the category and led four of the study’s seven dimensions: medication and health and wellness offerings, prescription convenience, staff and customer trust.
The franchise, offered through Conshohocken-based Cencora, has previously earned the highest score among chain drug store pharmacies in J.D. Power’s 2010, 2011, 2013 through 2015, 2017 through 2024 and 2026 studies.
The latest ranking coincides with Cencora’s 15th annual ThoughtSpot conference, which is bringing together more than 4,000 community and long-term care pharmacy owners, industry representatives and other participants.
This year’s conference focuses on business and operational issues facing independent pharmacies, including clinical capabilities, efficiency and expansion of pharmacy services. For the first time, ThoughtSpot also includes dedicated programming for medically integrated dispensing and specialty dispensing practices.
“JD Power’s recognition reflects the impact that community pharmacies make every day,” Tim Cernohous, Cencora’s senior vice president and president of Community Retail and Long-Term Care Pharmacy, said.
The event also follows the July 28 selection of three pharmacies for Good Neighbor Pharmacy’s 2026 Champion Awards, including one in Chester County.
Quik-Stop Pharmacy in Thorndale, led by president and pharmacist Alissa Griffith, was recognized alongside Moreland & Devitt Pharmacy, which operates four locations in west-central Illinois, and Desert Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy in Palm Springs, California.
The awards recognize work in advocacy, clinical care and storytelling within independent pharmacy.
