NEW CASTLE, DE — FS expanded its industrial networking portfolio with Ethernet switches, cellular gateways, fiber connectivity and power products designed to support factory automation, industrial control and rail communications across wired and remote network deployments.
The network infrastructure provider is centering the portfolio on industrial Ethernet switches offered in DIN-rail, rack-mount and wall-mount configurations. The equipment is intended for control cabinets, equipment enclosures, aggregation layers, and other industrial environments.
Selected PoE++ switches can deliver as much as 90 watts per port to equipment including industrial cameras and wireless access points. FS also offers PoE+ models for devices with lower power requirements.
For networks requiring redundancy and synchronized communications, selected switches support Ethernet Ring Protection Switching and Media Redundancy Protocol. Other capabilities include IEEE 1588v2 Precision Time Protocol and Time-Sensitive Networking for applications requiring coordinated data transmission.
FS is pairing its switching products with industrial cellular gateways that provide cellular, Ethernet and serial connectivity. The gateways are designed for remote and distributed equipment where fixed wired connections are impractical or where operators require an additional communications path.
The portfolio also includes industrial Ethernet cabling, M12 connectivity, optical links and armored fiber products for extending connections from control cabinets to field equipment and remote endpoints.
Industrial transceivers provide fiber connectivity for compatible equipment, while media converters allow copper-based legacy devices and remote endpoints to connect with fiber networks. FS is also supplying industrial power products, PoE equipment, mounting hardware and related accessories.
The company is packaging the products into application-focused configurations for industrial control, factory automation and rail communications, combining switching, connectivity and other networking technologies according to deployment requirements.
