According to PennDOT, a right lane and shoulder restriction will be in place Tuesday, June 16, on the Slackwater Road bridge connecting Manor and Conestoga townships. Traffic will be restricted in one direction at a time while inspectors examine the structure.
Work will begin in the southbound direction before shifting to the northbound side later in the day. Inspectors will use a bridge inspection crane positioned from the roadway to access and evaluate the structure.
No detour has been announced, but drivers should expect delays as traffic narrows through the work zone. Motorists are encouraged to plan extra time for their trips and use caution when approaching the bridge during inspection operations.
PennDOT is reminding travelers to remain alert, obey all work zone signage, and drive carefully to protect both inspection crews and other motorists.
