WILMINGTON, DE — Documo earned HITRUST e1 Certification for its platform hosted on Google Cloud Platform, giving the healthcare document technology company independent validation of cybersecurity controls used to protect sensitive data and manage information risk.
The certification follows an independent assessment under the HITRUST Assurance Program, which evaluates cybersecurity and information-protection controls through third-party testing and centralized quality assurance.
HITRUST’s e1 assessment is designed to verify that organizations have implemented defined cybersecurity controls. Documo’s certification covers its platform residing on Google Cloud Platform.
The assurance framework incorporates HITRUST’s Cyber Threat-Adaptive engine and aligns its requirements with evolving cybersecurity standards, including NIST, ISO and OWASP.
The certification carries particular relevance for Documo because its technology is used to automate document-intensive workflows in healthcare, where customers and other stakeholders handle sensitive information.

HITRUST Chief Executive Officer Gregory Webb described the certification as evidence that Documo has subjected its information-risk controls to the organization’s assurance process.
