HATBORO, PA — Dermatology Partners is acquiring William A. Horn, MD & Associates effective November 1, 2026, expanding its Montgomery County operations while retaining the practice’s existing physician leadership and clinical staff as part of its broader Mid-Atlantic growth strategy.
The privately owned, physician-led dermatology group will incorporate the practice at 331 N. York Road, Suite C, in Hatboro into its network, providing administrative, technological and clinical resources while maintaining local operations.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not provided.
Dr. William A. Horn, a board-certified dermatologist with more than four decades of experience in medical and surgical dermatology, will continue leading the practice and treating patients. The existing clinical team will also remain in place.
The transaction expands Dermatology Partners’ regional presence through the acquisition of an established physician practice rather than the development of a new clinical location.
Dermatology Partners operates without private equity backing, according to the company. Its business model provides affiliated physicians with centralized administrative services, technology integration and access to a broader network of healthcare professionals.
The arrangement is intended to allow acquired practices to retain their existing patient relationships while transferring certain operational responsibilities to the larger organization.
Andrew Kay, executive vice president of growth at Dermatology Partners, identified the acquisition as part of the company’s effort to expand dermatology services across its regional markets.
Horn said the affiliation would provide additional operational and clinical resources without changing his role in patient care.
“By joining Dermatology Partners, we will have access to additional resources, expertise, and capabilities while continuing to provide the personal, thoughtful care that our patients have come to expect from our practice,” Horn said.
He added that he would continue seeing patients at the Hatboro location.
Horn entered private practice after completing his residency in 1986 and previously served as chief of dermatology at Abington Memorial Hospital until 2011.
He has also served as a volunteer attending physician at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia VA Hospital since 1986.
Horn is a clinical professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine.
His professional affiliations include serving as a past president of the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology and a longtime member of its board of directors.
The academy named him Dermatologist of the Year in 2017, while the Philadelphia Dermatological Society recognized him as Practitioner of the Year in 2025.
The acquisition adds Horn’s established Hatboro practice to Dermatology Partners’ physician network while preserving its existing clinical leadership, reflecting the company’s approach to expanding through affiliations with independent dermatology providers.
