Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia said it has opened a cardiac walk-in facility in Springfield to provide same-day evaluation and treatment for patients with urgent, non-life-threatening heart-related symptoms.

The facility, called CCP Now, is located at 760 W. Sproul Road, Suite 200, and is designed to serve patients in Delaware County seeking care for symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, or palpitations.

The practice said the site offers access to board-certified cardiologists and on-site diagnostic testing in an outpatient setting, providing an alternative to hospital emergency departments.

“CCP Now gives patients a faster, more direct path to expert cardiac care when it matters most,” said Val Penders, a spokesperson for Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia.

Officials said the facility is intended to divert appropriate cardiac cases from emergency rooms, allowing hospitals to focus on more critical conditions.

“Many cardiac symptoms require prompt evaluation, but not every situation warrants a trip to the emergency room,” said Dr. Rob Scherr, a cardiologist with the practice. “We can quickly perform necessary cardiac testing on site and determine the safest next steps for care.”
