DOYLESTOWN, PA — Buckingham Psychiatry has added licensed clinical psychologist Sophie Buinewicz to its Bucks County practice, expanding access to psychotherapy for children and adults while extending virtual care across 43 states through PSYPACT.
Buinewicz joined the practice in September and is accepting new patients. She treats adults, children, adolescents, couples and families, with a focus on anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and related conditions.
Her treatment methods include cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, exposure and response prevention, and prolonged exposure therapy.
Buinewicz provides in-person care in Doylestown and Lambertville, New Jersey. Her PSYPACT certification allows her to provide virtual therapy to patients in all 43 states participating in the interstate compact.
The addition broadens Buckingham Psychiatry’s geographic reach beyond its local offices by allowing eligible patients in participating states to receive care remotely.
Buinewicz received advanced training at Temple University and the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety. She has also taught and supervised clinicians at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
Her clinical approach uses evidence-based therapies tailored to individual treatment needs and goals.
